I try to make simplistic outfits based on one article of clothing, usually the shirt or dress. I also make outfits based on things, like characters or events.
When I make outfits, I really don't like making the outfit cluttered. Keeping the outfits simple also makes them practical, so you could wear the outfit to school/ work or just where the style fits!
